Loan/Collections Support II

HOUSTON, TX

Responsible for assisting members with collection questions and issues. Collection reports and 3rd party collection company.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Responsible for assisting collection members with questions, problems, payment arrangements, and/or research on their accounts

 Responsible for completing new checking report for courtesy pay review, review courtesy pay on existing accounts for 30 days negative.

 Repossession process, sending accounts/loans to tekcollect

 Call delinquent members and make payment arrangements and/or collect payments

 Loan processing, verifying the member and booking the loan

 Cross sells new products and services to existing members

 Have a general understanding of the loan's sections in Portico

 Work Contact Manager Queue as required and in a timely fashion and meet weekly cross sell goals

 Performs other occasional functions as assigned by supervisor

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

 Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, rates, percentages, ratios

 Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions, procedures and regulations

 One year PC experience including word, excel, and other Microsoft applications

 Complete working knowledge of credit union products and services, including but not limited to: loans, savings accounts, share draft programs, collection queue, etc.

 Knowledgeable about the credit union system, its structure, common language and acronyms, philosophy and the credit union’s mission statement
